For specialized programs like service dog or protection training, we typically wait until the dog is at least 12–18 months and has a solid obedience foundation. Senior dogs can absolutely learn new skills — age is rarely a barrier with the right approach.

Do you train all breeds?

Yes. We work with all breeds and mixed breeds. Breed-specific tendencies are always factored into our approach — a working-line Belgian Malinois and a senior Chihuahua require very different methods, and we adjust accordingly.

Will my dog's training "stick" after sessions end?

Training sticks when owners practice consistently between sessions. We teach you the techniques, not just the dog. Every session includes handler coaching so you can reinforce what we've worked on at home. Dogs that get daily practice from their owners make dramatically faster progress.

The $125 fee covers all 6 weekly sessions (90 minutes each), training materials and guidance, and handler coaching throughout. That works out to about $21 per session — one of the most affordable professional obedience programs in the Kansas City area.

Can I enroll my puppy in the 6-week course?

Yes, puppies are welcome. We recommend puppies be at least 12 weeks old and have had their initial vaccinations before joining a group class. Puppies often progress quickly in a group setting because the social environment itself is part of the learning.
