Making a Difference
Therapy dogs do something no medication or therapy can fully replicate — they offer unconditional presence. A calm, well-trained therapy dog can reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure, ease loneliness, and bring genuine joy to people in some of the hardest moments of their lives.
But therapy dog work demands a very specific kind of dog and a very specific kind of training. The dog must be bombproof — calm around medical equipment, gentle with fragile patients, tolerant of unpredictable behavior, and completely focused on their handler in chaotic environments.
At Canine Calmer, we prepare both the dog and the handler for this meaningful work — from temperament evaluation through CGC certification and beyond.
